Time for change

This is probably not exactly what you want to know, but nevertheless:

Start with yourself and your own bevahiour! It is most important to limit your personal energy requirements to a "reasonable" level. Ideas and links can be found in this comment with the title "How you can help to mitigate global warming". Be a good example!

In addition:

• Inform your family, your friends, etc. what they can do to mitigate global warming. Much too many people do still believe that they don't contribute to the warming themselves.
• Help spreading the word on websites like http://timeforchange.org . Answer questions, propose actions, write articles, etc.
• Write some "letter to the Editor" of newspapers if they publish information about climate change which is not correct or playing down the problem.
• Inform the politicians of your country and ask them for concrete actions instead of lip services.

• Etc.
